Another Question

On the old MK85's was the barrel blued or black oxide coated. Mine seems very dark almost black and will want new barrel and octagon receiver to match. My gunsmith can handle either. May be a better option to have them put together and have both done at the same time even tho the receiver looks good. What ya think ?

Send the barreled action to BlackIce and have it all done at once. You will love their finish. Its nearly indestructible.

We meticulously detail every part of your firearm that can be coated, including screws and high-wear parts. The Black Ice improves wear and provides an extremely slick service for smoother actions and a faster release time on the firing pin. Black Ice* also repels water and does not need lubrication.

That looks good, most likely go that route. Rather than bluing or black oxide.
