Idaho hunter solid lead only

Hi everyone. I just ordered a Knight Mountaineer in 50 cal. Idaho requires us to use solid lead bullets and western ignition (#11 or musket cap). Any suggestions for mountaineer loads that have been successful for elk would be appreciated. :D :D :D

Knurling a Bloodline to shoot Full Bore

For some time now I have been trying to knurl bullets to shoot without a sabot or full bore from one my Knight ULite. I have been rolling the bullets between to files creating a knurled bullet. This seemed to work very well on copper/lead bullets like the Speer .50x300 gr. Gold Dot and on Barnes XPB bullets, both their 50x275 and 50x325. Knight wolverine sight problem using heavy bullets

I have a knight wolverine and would like to shoot 348gr. powerbelts out to 100yrds. At 50yrds. i am out of rear ramp travel but hitting close to bullseye. Is there a lower front sight available or can i shim the rear and how do I go about it. I am just wanting to shoot the heavier bullets out of my gun for elk hunting. Thanks

Barnes MZ 45 caliber and deer hunting

I hunt with a 45 caliber and recently got some Barnes MZ 195 grain bullets. The bullets has wonderful bulks tics, but seems a little light for deer. Can anyone give me some informed opinion of the use of this bullet for whitetail? Thanks
